This original, hand colored, copperplate engraving – Frontice Page - is from Hesperides Sive de Malorum Aureourum Cultura e Libri Quatuor published by Giovanni Ferrari in Rome, 1646. The plate is drawn, engraved and colored by Cornelis Bloemaert. This very rare print measures 9" X 13.5" with a vertical platemark at 12.25”. It has been trimmed horizontally to the platemark and although the left margin is somewhat ragged, it can be matted with no loss of the image. The print is otherwise in excellent condition with vivid coloring. It is in an acid-free environment and shrink wrapped for protection. The shrink wrap may cause some glare in the photos. Please email questions. Additional pictures are available upon request.
