This original, hand colored, copperplate engraving – Citri Flores (Citrus Flowers) - is from Hesperides Sive de Malorum Aureourum Cultura e Libri Quatuor published by Giovanni Ferrari in Rome, 1646. The plate is drawn, engraved and colored by Cornelis Bloemaert (notice the CB initials at the base of the stem in photo #3). This very rare print measures 9.5" X 13.75" with a platemark of 8" X 11.75” and is in excellent condition. The colors are softly muted after more than 350 years of aging. The print is in an acid-free environment and shrink wrapped for protection. The shrink wrap may cause some glare in the photos. Please email questions. Additional pictures are available upon request.
