19th Century Copperplate Engraving - John Eastgate

This original, monochrome, copperplate engraving – Caloa, of the Island of Waigiou – is from The World or the Present State of the Universe Being a General and Complete Collection of Modern Voyages and Travels, which was published in London in 1810. It was drawn and engraved by John Eastgate. The matted print, which is in good condition, measures 12.75” X 10.5” with a mat window of 7.75” X 5.50”. There is some light, scattered foxing in the image area (please see all photos). It is in an acid-free environment and shrink wrapped for protection. The shrink wrap may cause some glare in the photos. Please email questions or for additional pictures.
