This print, Stinking Tutsan and St. John's Wort, is an original, hand colored, copperplate engraving, from Hortus Eystettensis by Basilius Besler. It was drawn by Besler and first published by Konrad Bauer in Altdorf, Germany, 1613. This large folio print is from the 2nd Edition (deluxe, blank verso) and was printed in Nuremburg in 1640. The print measures 16.25” X 20.5" with the platemark at 15.5" X 18.75". The print is in excellent condition in every respect. Please email questions. Additional pictures are available on request.
