This print - Galega flore cinereo . . . (Plate 273, Goat's-rue and Sweet Clover) - is an original, hand colored, copperplate engraving, from Hortus Eystettensis by Basilius Besler. This blank verso "Deluxe" edition print was drawn by Besler and printed by Konrad Bauer in Altdorf, Germany, 1640. The large folio measures 21.5" X 25.75" (matted), with the platemark at 15.5" X 18.75". The print is in excellent condition in every respect. Please email for additional information or pictures.
