This original, hand colored, copperplate engraving – La Perruche a face rouge - is from Francois Levaillant's: Histoire Naturelle des Perroquets. It was drawn by Jacques Barraband, etched by Gremillier, colored by Langlois, and printed in Paris in 1801. The unframed print measures 13.25" X 19.75" (folio). The print is in excellent condition overall with very light age toning at the sheet’s edges. The colors are amazingly bright and vivid. The print is in an acid free environment and shrink wrapped for protection. The shrink wrap may cause some reflections in the photos. Please email for additional information or pictures
