This original, hand colored, copperplate engraving - The Red Legg'd Partridge - is from: A Natural History of Birds, With Copper Plates, Curiously Engraven From the Life. Published By the Author and Carefully Color'd By His Daughter And Self (The French Edition). It was published by Eleazar Albin in 1737. This bookplate on laid paper, measures 9.25" X 11.25" with a platemark at 8" X 10". It is in Very Good to Excellent condition with some mild offsetting, handling dirt and smudging. The print is shrink wrapped for protection and the shrink wrap may cause some glare in the photos. Please email questions. Additional pictures available on request.
