WOW - is this Cartier inspired or what?! The rhodium plated base metal of this fantastic brooch forms a rhinestone covered trio of iris with sapphire blue oval centers and blue enamel stems.
This is one of the few pins designed by Alfred Spaney, the patent number is dated Oct. 7, 1941.
The petals and leaves are pave set sparking simulated diamonds. The large faux sapphires are hand cut faceted oval crystals with open back settings and unfoiled backs. Excellent vintage condition. The enamel blue stems look great.
Signed US Pat. N. 129857 and Trifari. Pin works very well. 3" tall and 1 1/2" wide.
