1920's Czech Beaded Hearts and Flowers Purse

Remember when.... This 1920's Czech purse was created at a time when bags were small because "an extremely small bag drew attention to a woman's well-cared-for hands and slender wrists, emphasizing that she was truly a lady of leisure!"* And after all, who needed a big bag - there were no cell phones, PDA's or key rings with 10 discount cards attached to haul around!

Take a trip back in time with this beautiful 6" x 5 3/4" purse in good vintage condition. White, cream and silver/grey seed beads come together to create the hearts and flowers pattern. Silver/grey bugle beads are used for the star in the center. Pattern is on both sides. There are some beads missing and I have tried to show that in the pictures. However, due to the elaborate design, the missing beads do not detract from the beauty of the purse. You really don't notice that they are missing.

The interior is in an off-white fabric that feels like satin, and has an interior pocket with the original label still in place that reads, "Made in Czechoslovakia." The interior shows some discoloration and use. It has a zipper closure with a small chain pull.

Note: Pictures may show some discolorations which are not found on the purse itself.
