Here is a pair of majestic falcon earrings inspired by Taylor's role as Queen of the Nile, part of the Elizabeth Taylor Egyptian Style Collection for Avon. Featured in the Elizabeth Taylor Jewelry Collection booklet for 1993.

These richly gilt and jeweled dangle earrings bear images of the falcon, which represents Horus, the most important Egyptian god and symbol of the Pharoah.

Each falcon seems a symbol of power and strength, with its stately stance and wings spread out, holding aloft a faux lapis lazuli cabochon. The talons have turquoise cabochon insets, and there is also turquoise enamel background for the falcon head.

Three golden finials swing gracefully from the talons and tail.

The earrings measure 3" long and 1 1/4" wide, and are clipbacks. Signed "E" for Elizabeth Taylor, and Avon. The actress produced with Avon a limited line of jewelry in the early 1990s; this one dates to 1993.

Comes with its original flannel pouch and paper insert about the Egyptian collection. In excellent unused condition.
