HUGE 50% OFF Thanksgiving Sale!
Here is an extraordinary Victorian necklace that honors the era's favorite feline. It has a huge 3-D cat's face and a chunky amethyst glass crystal drop, and it is absolutely riveting!
Circa the turn of the century, the necklace has a molded cat's face about 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" big. Possibly brass or a gold-filled metal alloy. Realistically detailed, from its piercing cat's eyes, to its tufted pointy ears, to its lush mane. Persian, maybe?
Dangling from its hidden collar is a huge amethyst glass crystal, in the shape of a perfume bottle. Faceted on the top and flat on the bottom, with a gilt filigree, and about as big as the cat.
Altogether, cat and amethyst drop measure about 3 1/2" long and 1 3/4" wide. They are permanently suspended from an 18" long twisted rope chain with a ring closure.
Our cat is nicely patinated, so it has a bronzy look, as does the rest of the chain. The amethyst drop seems flawless and unchipped. Overall, can't get any better, especially since this is so, so old.
Whether you're a cat lover or not, this one will stir your feline persuasions!
