HUGE 50% OFF Thanksgiving Sale!
Designed by then chief designer Larry Vrba, the Egyptian Revival collection came out in the early '70s to coincide with a King Tut exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The collection has remained ever popular thru the years, and no reputable Haskell collection is complete without an Egyptian motif piece or set. Among the pieces in the collection, the most desirable are those with art glass beads featuring orange coral, lapis blue and aqua blue color combinations, some with gilt King Tut or scarab accents.
This pair of earrings has that most-coveted color combo, and makes an excellent match to either the King Tut or scarab accented necklaces, and also bibs and bracelets with the same colors. (See separate listing of our magnificent Haskell Egyptian Revival bib set; if you are interested in this and the set, please e-mail for a better price). For the collector, this may be the one piece you need to complete a Haskell Egyptian set.
Each earring is about 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" round, with a large mottled coral glass cabochon in the center. Wired around the center stone are alternating beads of aqua, lapis and dark orange coral, with gilt caps.
The back has a double layer of gilt filigree. The earrings have screw-in clipbacks stamped Haskell. The pair is in excellent condition.
