Our tasseled brooch and pair of earrings feature a lacy filigree and foliate design, dotted all over with a rhinestone florets and rhinestone balls.
Delightfully "girlie" but not frou-frou, so it's a boon to any modern woman's accessory wardrobe. Instantly adds a feminine touch to any business or formal ensemble!
The earrings in the set are marked (Robert) DeMario-Hagler, but were made by Hagler. The two Miriam Haskell-influenced designers planned to go into partnership in the early '50s. This did not happen; some of the earring findings produced during that time were used by Hagler for his pieces.
Our brooch is truly a vision of loveliness! Two filigree bell flowers taper out beautifully at the top. All around them, including the opening, are dainty rhinestone florets.
From the bottom bell flower cascades five gilt chains with rhinestone balls at the tips. This tassel is slinky and moves with you.
The floral cluster at the top is 1 1/4" wide x 1 3/4" long; with the tassel, the entire brooch is 4" long. Pin has a locking c-clasp closure.
Each earring is a scrolling vine with the same rhinestone florets as the brooch plus tiny rosettes with rhinestone centers. Earrings measure 1 1/2" x 1 1/4"
The brooch is marked Stanley Hagler N.Y.C., on three lines and within an oval clasp. The earrings have clipbacks stamped DeMario-Hagler.
Excellent condition. Age has not affected the glittery rhinestones at all. The Russian gold-plating is still rich, with just the right touch of antiqued look, and with the most minimal of wear.
You'll definitely feel pretty wearing this set!
