HUGE 50% OFF Thanksgiving Sale!
Just look at this dew-dappled foliage bracelet and earrings set, with surreal colors of creamy white and moonglow pink. No such thing exists in reality, but isn't it just fantastic?
The Hargo company, which made jewelry from the '50s-'60s, excelled in jewelry that are bizarre, phantasmic, mythic. Dragons, serpents, genies are among its most renowned motifs. It's also known for its rich floral and foliate themes, all of them — like ours here — with a twist.
The bracelet and earrings are made of wide leaves that are heavily textured, white-washed with enamel and gilt accented. Each leaf has a preponderance of "dew drops" — pink oval moonglow cabochons plus tiny faux pearls and magenta pink rhinestones.
The bracelet has six of these leaves; it is 7 1/4" long and 1" wide. It has a foldover clasp.
The earrings are lone leaves and measure almost 1 1/2" x 1". They are clipbacks.
The backs of all the pieces are also nicely antiqued, and show open backs for the pink cabochons. Only one earring is signed, Har, although everything is an exact match.
In excellent condition, with little wear. If you go for the stuff that dreams are made of, or the extraordinary, well, you've found one of them!
