These rings are among the most collectible of KJL's pieces, dating way back to the '60s when he started designing jewelry.

Very scarce (as many as I have owned of KJL's snake rings, this seemingly sparse version is the only one I have come across thus far). My guess is this version is probably among the earliest. Definitely hard to find, and even harder to come across as a group!

These cobra rings belonged to a true KJL collector, who probably wore them together. In keeping with this spirit, I am selling them as a group.

Each ring is a curled cobra with its hooded head slightly lifted. Entirely goldtone; most probably Russian goldplating because of the muted gloss and patina. Most of the body has crisscross markings mimicking scale patterns. The head has three jewel-tone glass cabochons. On two of the rings, these consist of an oval faux ruby and a pair of emerald eyes. The third ring has a ruby oval and fuschia or deep pink eyes.

The cobra's sinewy body wraps around the finger, but is cut at the base to accommodate any size ring finger. At the top and widest part, the ring measure just slightly over 1" long and about 7/8" wide.

Each ring is stamped K.J.L. (with periods) within an oval plaque, which is Lane's earliest known logo. Each also has the numbers "334" which may refer to the artisan who crafted the ring. The rings are in excellent, well-preserved condition.
