HUGE 50% OFF Thanksgiving Sale!
Here is a polka-dotted necklace and 2-pair earrings set that'll put you on top of the fashion-forward list.
This demi is also super valuable, as it is made of random dot-injected bakelite, which is one of the rarest, and most highly prized, of all.
All pieces are made out of dot-injected discs, black with cream (or butterscotch) dots, measuring 1 1/8" each. The dot pattern on each disc — and on either side of each disc — is unique. I took lots of photos of the two sides, so you can see for yourself.
The pieces are all original from the '30s-'40s. A similar necklace and earrings set that I saw recently has a $1,800 price tag! And a pair of same kind short dangle earrings I had researched has a $995 tag!
The anchor piece is the necklace, which has five of these bakelite discs, linked by goldtone loops. Necklace has elongated chain links made of early celluloid plastic; very nice! It has a spring ring clasp. Measures 20" long.
You have two choices for the earrings: long shoulder dusters or shorter dangles. The long pair has two layers of bakelite discs, the dot injected one at the bottom, and 3/4" x 3/4" plain black one at the top. There are also goldtone ball on top and at the bottom of the earrings. Earrings are 4" long, including the fishhook fasteners.
The short pair of earrings has lone dot injected discs dangling from a goldtone bead top. Earrings are just under 2 1/2" long, with the fishhook fasteners included as well.
Overall very good to excellent condition. One long earring has a tiny indentation (imperfection) on the edge of a dot-injected disc. Some goldtone wear on the necklace's ring clasp. Other than these, the set is wonderful.
Priced at just the going cost of a pair of dot-injected bakelite dangle earrings, so what are you waiting for?
