Our necklace and earrings set shimmers with olivine and amber colors, with that extra "oomph" of iridescence. Capping off this glittery presentation are similarly hued tourmaline (or "watermelon") crystals which, in the necklace, is extra-big! Just look!

Not signed, but this set is reminiscent of Hattie Carnegie. I have seen a similar signed set, distinctive because of its huge tourmaline open-back clasp, like our necklace. Price of the signed demi: over $500!

The two-tone tourmaline crystal in our necklace is 1 1/4" round, about as big as a silver dollar. It has olivine and amber hues, which show beautifully because of the open-back gilt setting for the stone. The stone setting hides the clasp for the necklace.

Six strands of carnival glass-type beads make up the rest of the necklace. And these are not tiny ones, but extra-large as well: about 3.5mm rounds, instead of the usual 1.5-2 mm. These beads are olivine within and amber on the translucent surface, and they are polychrome coated, so they do flash some rainbow hues. The strands have gilt filigree caps on either end.

Necklace is about 21" long. The chunky clasp can either be worn at the nape or (better yet) as the centerpiece. You can also set it off to one side, for a sassy look. Necklace can be as is, or twisted in a torsade.

Each earring has a smaller watermelon crystal center, surrounded by gilt-and-bead pinwheels. Same pretty open back setting for the center stones. The pinwheel design carries over to the back, making the earrings extra pretty. Earrings are about 1 1/4" rounds, and are clipbacks.

Demi is in excellent condition, with very little wear. You will enjoy this — it has a lot of class, plus it has that look that can go all the way to the poshest parties. And at this price, a real bargain!
