Vintage poodle box purses have become so collectible and extremely hard to find. I can't remember the last time I saw one for sale in such good condition. I've taken close-ups of all sides, plus the top and bottom, so you can clearly see the condition for yourself.

The top and bottom are made of a hard pearlized plastic that I think is lucite, although I'm no expert. The handle is clear lucite, and has taken on a very slight yellowish cast over the years. The sides are pearlized plastic strips woven in a basketweave design around gold-tone metal ribs. The bottom is protected from damage by resting on six small metal feet.

The purse is approximately 10" long, 5" wide and 3" deep, including the feet.

The poodles on the top of the purse are classic 1950s design. And how sweet is the fellow on the left-hand side, sitting up and begging?

This is a little treasure from another era and a great addition to a 1950s collection.
