Because the Italian flag colors decorate the African motif handle of this old Fly Whisk I assumed that it is was made during 1936-1937 in Ethiopia. Now, after coming across an article on Western Cowboy Art, I believe that it was made by a Prisoner, c1905, as horse hair braided items such as Bridles were. The look is identical. It is in great shape. Approx. length is 18".
