SALE Very RARE OLD Field Hockey Goalie Pads c1920-30

In 15 years of selling Sporting Antiques I have never seen a pair like it. Today's Field Hockey Goalie Pads look nothing like these. It took more than an hour on google before I found a similar pair. A BBC Sport Academy page from c1960-70 showed a white pair, much wider than the ones I'm offering. This leads me to believe that they were made in England. No name on them that I can find. The Rods are Reeds covered with imitation leather as is everything else. The straps, many of which are long gone, are leather. The "Over-Shoes" are in good shape, only 1 strap & 1 buckle is missing. The padding is some kind of dark material. The backs are Canvass. A very unusual Old Sports item that displays extremely well. Any information would be most welcome. The height is 26" approx. without the shoe covers and the width ( 6 Reeds) is just under 10".
