c1900. These modest Majolica objects were made in Germany, France or Austria to give away as prizes at Fairs & Carnivals. The little fellow here wears a velvet suit with fancy collar. He holds a King Charles Puppy, no doubt to tell all & sundry that he hails from nobility.

This figural candlestick is in excellent condition with only the boy's nose showing a little scape.
