Gorgeous Cobalt and Gold Czechoslovakia Porcelain Patch Box with Interior Portraits, C1890. Very fine, translucent porcelain patch or vanity box handpainted cobalt with gold stars. Fitted with gold dore mounts with gadrooned edge. Opens to reveal two handpainted portraits. One portrait depicts strolling couple in 18th century dress, the other a floral portrait. Bottom of box marked CZECHO-SLOVAKIA in gold. Box measures 1 3/4" in diameter and 3/4" tall. In EXCELLENT condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Very, very minimal wear to gold.
