Beautiful French Needle Lace Work on Linen, Portrait of a Lady, Framed in Glass & Gilt Metallic Ribbon Lace Frame, Victorian, C1900. Exquisite and intricate needle lace work of gorgeous French lady. Various needle lace stitching includes Alencon Mesh, Buttonhole Stitch. Very elaborately and painstakingly detailed from the curls in her hair to the tassels on her walking stick to the buckles of her fabulous French shoes! This one of a kind Victorian textile measures 6 1/2" square and is in Excellent condition with very slight spotting of the linen between the 5:00 and 6:00 area. We live in a smoke-free environment and guarantee this textile to be odor free.
