Egyptian Revival Gold Gilded Hand Painted Enamel Portrait Spoon, C1920! Has two enamel portraits, Queen Nefertiti and her husband Pharaoh Akhenaten. Nefertiti, which means "the beautiful woman has come" is one of the most famous and beloved of all ancient Egyptians. One of the best known Egyptian treasures is a bust of her that can be found in the Egyptian Museum in Berlin. The bowl of the spoon features her beautifully hand painted portrait in vivid enamel colors against a lustrous delicate green and yellow enamel background. The tip of the spoon features another hand painted enamel portrait of a seated Pharaoh, her husband Akhenaten? This fabulous piece of Egyptian Revival is in Excellent condition and measures 4 1/4" long with the portrait measuring 1 1/4" by 1". A great treasure from the time of the discovery of King Tutankhamen!
