MAGNIFICENT 19TH CENTURY VICTORIAN ENGLISH COBALT BLUE FACETED GLASS AND STERLING SILVER PERFUME BOTTLE, C1870! Very beautiful Cobalt faceted cut glass diamond shaped pattern perfume bottle with heavily repousse hinged lid in fleur-de-lis plumed design. It has its original ground glass stopper. Most likely of English origin, even the bottom of the bottle is finished with a recessed star pontil! This very unusual cobalt perfume bottle is in MINT condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. It stands 3 3/4" tall and approximately 1" in diameter. Hinged lid opens easily and closes snugly. Glass stopper fits snugly. Sterling lid polished up sleek and silver although some pictures may give gold-tone appearance. The lid has no dents or dings. A Superb perfume bottle. Unmarked but guaranteed to be STERLING. There is some camera or light glare reflected on the the glass.
