Miniature French Victorian Guilloche Enamel & Gold Dore Openwork Filigree Chatelaine Mirror With Venetian Glass Sapphire Beads and Ornate Filigree Handle. Exquisite miniature French Guilloche enamel and gold dore openwork filigree chatelaine mirror. The back of the mirror is intricately designed in a floral filigree openwork pattern with a gorgeous gold dore finish. The center of the lid features a raised Guilloche enamel hand painted plaque with deep cobalt blue background and an exquisite, colorful floral bouquet. This is surrounded with eight prong-set sapphire blue venetian glass beads. The side of this gorgeous chatelaine mirror is finished with a gadrooned border. The elaborate openwork filigree handle still retains the original "o" ring to attach to a chatelaine appendage. This beauty retains the original beveled mirror "framed" by a gold dore rope or braid. This piece is unmarked but absolutely French (please see item # Box-118 in my shop which is a matching patch box or dresser box marked "Made in France"). This beauty measures 4 1/4." long and 2 3/4" in diameter with the enamel plaque measuring 1 1/2" in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no dents or repairs and very slight silvering to the mirror. Thank you for looking.
