Lovely Victorian Limoges Hand Painted Roses Porcelain Gold Footed Hair Receiver, C1900. The lid is beautifully hand painted with pink roses, long green vines and leaves. The bowl sits on three delicate, gold fancy feet. The bowl is hand painted blue, pink and white. It is in EXCELLENT condition with one fleabite on the underneath rim of the lid. There is minimal wear to the gold feet and no wear to the hand painting. This beauty stands 3 1/2" high and is 6" in diameter. It is backstamped with the GDA France Mark (Mark 1 Green) for the Gerard, Dufraisseix and Abbot factory (see Mary Frank Gaston, The Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain).
