Fabulous Vintage Revlon Van Cleef & Arpels Case Designed Compact, Mint in Box, C1958. Very classy and chic vintage Revlon compact, designed for "today's modern woman" by Van Cleef & Arpels in the fabulous fifties. The box is covered in a red floral brocade with gold outlines. The inside lid of the box features the floral design in silver foil and reads "Revlon, Paris New York London, Case Designed by Van Cleef & Arpels". The gorgeous gold and silver compact features a diagonal checkered and monogrammed oval cartouche design. The compact opens to reveal its original mirror, original Revlon Signed puff and original double page instructions. The label on the outside of the box reads " Dark Tone Complexion, Rachel, Love Pat, Silver & Gold Tone Petite Compact". The label on the bottom of the compact reads "Love Pat Rachel". The powder is unused, the puff is unused (though some powder has rubbed off on part of the puff as it has sat in the compact over the last fifty years). This compact is mint in box, never used and measures 2 1/2" by 2". Having never been used, this would make a very elegant compact for "today's modern woman". We live in a smoke free environment.
