Exquisite French guilloche enamel and gold dore filigree oval patch box, hinged. The lid is intricately designed in a floral filigree openwork pattern with a gorgeous gold dore finish. The center of the lid features a raised guilloche enamel handpainted plaque with deep cobalt blue background and an exquisite, colorful floral bouquet. This is surrounded with alternating prong set seed pearls and sapphire-blue venetian glass beads. The sides are finished in a lovely repousse design. This beauty opens to reveal the original beveled mirror "framed" by a gold dore rope or braid. The lid opens easily and closes snugly. Marked "Made In France", it measures 2" long and 1 1/2" wide and is in excellent condition with no dents or repairs, a tiny ding on the bottom and only slight silvering to the mirror.
