Gorgeous Victorian Enamel Bronze Footed Perfume Casket, C1860, Magnificent hinged Scent Box with masterful enamel work covering the entire box. Vivid cobalt blue, deep red and gorgeous green enamels form a lavish floral design.. This stunning perfume casket sits on four Queen Anne style feet. The lid opens to reveal the original mirror and the original fitted Victorian purple velvet interior. The purple velvet is still just as vivid in color today. It outlines the original mirror and houses the perfume bottles. The blown glass perfume bottles are paneled in design and retain their original ground stoppers. There are still remnants of dark perfume in one bottle. The lids all open easily and close snugly The bottles measure a mere 2 1/4" tall (including lids) and 1" in diameter. There should be four bottles but are actually only three bottles and the lid to the fourth. I purchased it this way and have had it for years. It does not detract from this fabulous perfume casket as the beauty is in the casket itself. It measures 4" in length, 3 1/4" wide and stands 3" tall. This magnificent beauty is in Excellent condition with no dents, dings or repairs, no fading or scratching the to the stunning enamel work. All four feet are original and secure.
