A fine example of mid-century Modern dinnerware, the (originally) all-white Romance/Romanze pattern was designed by Bjorn Wiinblad and put into production by Rosenthal China in 1959.

The pattern derives its decoration from its figured surface, which is covered in ovals, rays and dots, producing subtle patterns which draw the eye to the piece.

These are the coup soup bowl in this pattern.

Thery're 7.25" in diameter and 1.5" tall.

Condition: a little light wear from use in the bottom, which can only be seen under close inspection.

Marked on the back Rosenthal/Germany, this piece is post-1991 production of this classic pattern.
