SOLD Lenox Phillies Cigar Store Indian Salt & Pepper Set

I've never seen a set like from Lenox. The two pieces are the salt shaker and popper grinder, which are fairly common in Lenox dinnerware patterns from the 1970's. This set is uncommon, as it has a pair of cigar store Indians on it in full color.

Flipping the Salt shaker over provides an explanation: these were produced for Bayuk Cigars, Inc., makers of Phillies Brand cigars. They were probably distributed to tobacco shop owners as a premium.

Thee salt shaker is 5.75" tall to the top of the lid, the pepper grinder is 6.375" to the top of the handle. Both are 2.875" in diameter at the base.

Condition is excellent to near mint. The porcelain bodies are fine, no wear or damage. The brass tops on both pieces are lightly scratched and tarnished from use, but they could easily be replaced with better examples from another set.

Both pieces are marked Lenox in gold on the bottom.
