McCoy Yellow & Black Bean Pot

This is an unusual piece of McCoy pottery. It is a large bean pot glazed black and yellow. going through the McCoy books I have, I found this pot offered in 1956 in pink and black, but I cannot find a reference to this color combination, although I suspect it was produced at about the same time.

The pot is 7" tall overall. The pot itself is 5.5" tall and 5.25" in diameter at the mouth. Condition is excellent; no chips, cracks, wear or damage. There is light all-over crazing, but this is typical of McCoy pieces from this period.

Marked "McCoy/U.S.A." on the bottom.
