This particular example is the larger of the two sizes made. The pink roses decoration was only used on these wash sets, although the second edition of the Collector's "Encyclopedia of Stangl" (see page 228)also shows after dinner cups and saucers with this decoration. These were manufactured so that the wash set could be used as punch sets.
These sets were in production in 1965, and then from 1976-1972, when the size of both pieces was reduced to the smaller measurements.
The bowl is 14.5" in diameter and 4" high. The pitcher is about 10.25" tall and 8.5" from handle to spout.
Condition is excellent to near mint: the pitcher has no wear or damage. The bowl has a few small scratches in the interior from the feet of the pitcher. (The last set like this I sold had the bottoms of the feet on the pitcher varnished, to prevent it scratching the bowl; I would suggest felt pads.)
Both pieces are marked on their bottoms with a brown Stangl mark.
