A fine Duncan Miller lidded candy dish in the Sylvan pattern. This box is in the form of a leaf in crystal. The handle on the lid form the stem of the leaf and is light green in color. It's 7.25" long by 6.5" wide by 3.75" tall. Condition: light shelf wear ot the parts of the bottom the piece sits on. Otherwise fine.

Duncan or Duncan Miller of Washington, PA made some of the prettiest of elegant glass. Their opalescent pink, blue and yellow are delightful. The Sylvan No. 130 13 inch 3-Compartment Relish is a great piece for serving several items. The Sylvan line originates in the mid-1930's and was in production until Duncan closed in 1955. This piece is 13.125" long by 9.25" wide. Condition is near mint, with only the slightest (unavoidable) wear to the beck of the piece.

Duncan Miller's Canterbury patterns has always been one of our favorites around here, as it is a pattern both my mother and I grew up with. It is simply, classical, yet very modern. This is a great piece in Duncan Miller's Sandwich pattern. it is a large, footed bowl or compote made from the cake slaver mold. It is milk glass, which it means that it was manufactured by Tiffin at some point in the 1950's, because Duncan stopped making milk glass at some point before WWII. Tiffin and Duncan merged and started sharing molds, which lead to pieces being made from Duncan molds at the Tiffin plant and sold under the Duncan name. This is such a piece.
