Sterling Marcasite Amethyst & 18 karat Ring!

Here is a very attractive ring that is of more modern times. It is marked 925 (Sterling) and 18K (which must refer to the very thin layers of gold-colored metal that are used in two places in the design. There are marcasites and nice detail abounds. The ring is a size 9 1/2. The photograph conveys what the naked eye cannot see -- there is a little tear in one of the gold overlay pieces and the other is dented (the overlay is very thin). Otherwise, the ring is in excellent condition and is certainly very pretty! Consignment item DW
