What an absolutely charming item! The red velvet case is a desirable color and it is enhanced with pretty brass details. I love the ornate handle! This is a fabulous example of the colored transferware that was made in the Staffordshire district of England between 1828 and 1842. This one is BELZUNI by Enoch Wood and Sons. Personally, I love these exotic circa 1905 VIENNA BRONZE pieces with the Arab themes -- cold painted enamel work. This particular pieces has an Arab man on a camel and a woman reaching up to offer him a drink. The pond in front of them is painted silver and there is molding that depicts the grass and ferns. This is a wonderful VIENNA BRONZE from approximately 1905. The details are cold painted with enamel. The Arab motif was a popular one during this era. This man is perhaps in prayer with his parcels in front of him. It actually is an incense burner and the lid comes off. He is kneeling on an oriental carpet. How exotic and unique this is!
