An authentic Art Deco (circa 1920's) brooch, 14k yellow gold, hand wrought, holding a magnificent dense oval plaque of natural coral.
The coral is an evenly colored rich deep salmon color that has been hand carved by an expert at the craft, and is set in a secure split prong mounting. This brooch really showcases the carvers talent and tenure. The coral is been extensively pierced and carved with every millimeter used to give us the gorgeous yet harmonious appearance of lush flowers and foliage.
The brooch measures 2 1/8" X 1 1/3", weighs in at 24.6 grams and is stamped "14K" on the clasp hand.
The condition is near-mint. Excellent, extremely well babied.
