I am available to process your order during shop hours and will contact you by email the same day it is placed. I welcome your questions and comments regarding anything in the shop. I guarantee all of my items to be as described and of the finest quality vintage. Every Item is selected for its beauty, condition, and value. ALL ITEMS ARE STORED IN AN AIR CONDITIONED SMOKE-FREE AND PET-FREE WAREHOUSE ENVIRONMENT, in enclosed cabinetry, wardrobes and drawers. There are several thousand vintage treasures on display for purchase and being readied for sale in the near future, so please feel free to browse at your leisure and make inquiries. .I am happy to be of service to you and will work hard to earn your trust and repeat business. All items are shipped quickly~within 2-3 business days after receiving payment by Money Order or sent through PayPal. If you need Express shipping, please email me and I will try my best to accommodate you. (Extra shipping charges will apply). FYI, many areas of the country east of the Mississippi still require 2 days to receive deliveries from Arizona (even with Express Mail) through the USPS.

Shipping/Handling/Insurance Policy:
ALL Jewelry, Accessory and Paper Ephemera (Sewing Patterns, Postcards and Vintage Ads) Ship Free In The U.S! Purchase Orders including items from these categories receive Free Shipping by Media or First Class Mail to all destinations in the U.S. **Sale items will be charged normal shipping rates, calculated by weight**. Insurance is required and paid by the customer on all items that designate it as such in their listings; otherwise, insurance is optional. The shipping method will be chosen at our discretion. If an item would normally be shipped by Free First Class mail, including jewelry, etc. and faster shipping is requested, please choose upgraded Priority Mail at a fee listed in the shipping options. Shipping Items such as clothes, shoes, hats, purses, vanity items, etc. that would ship by Priority Mail will be upgraded to Express Mail within the U.S., if requested, for an additional charge. If special 2-Day delivery is requested, the extra cost will be calculated and added to the invoice, once we are aware of your need for that fastest service. We do gift box all of our jewelry to be sure it arrives safely. Please Consider: Insurance should be purchased for every package, particularly at the Holiday season. Precious treasures deserve to be protected, and we can no longer guard them once they leave our Warehouse. Packages that are uninsured are shipped at the buyers risk. We are happy to take your personal check. **No business or third party checks will be accepted for payment.** All checks must clear before purchased items can be shipped. Electronic or paperless checks sent through the PayPal web site clear in 4-5 days. It takes a minimum of 7 business days for a mailed personal check to clear both banks, plus the 'snail' mail delivery time it takes for your check to reach us, so please be patient. PLEASE NOTE: There is a $15 bank fee charged to our shop if your check bounces, and that amount will be automatically added to the funds amount that will need to be sent to cover the cost of the NSF check. If Cash is being sent as payment, please use a Priority Mail envelope for your own protection. We CANNOT be responsible for the safe delivery of Cash sent by First Class Mail. Items held for mailed payment Purchase Orders will be returned to stock after 7 days if payment has not been received or no arrangement has been made with the shop to accommodate a delayed payment. Purchases that indicate PayPal has been chosen as the method of payment need to be paid within 5 days, or special arrangements need to be made with the shop to accept a delayed payment. We reserve the right to accept only a Confirmed PayPal address in the U.S., particularly when an address is not consistent with the registered Ruby Lane account information. We do pack with great care, but cannot be responsible for any uninsured item's condition once it leaves our shop. If a package shipped within the U.S. is returned to us for any reason, the buyer will be responsible for all charges to reship the item (s). No refund can be issued without prior notification of an intent to return any item, per Ruby Lane's site wide policy. It must also be returned for inspection before a refund can be issued, and the item must be in the exact condition as it was when it was shipped to you. Money paid for shipping charges are not returned under any circumstances. The Post Office does not refund paid postage and the money has been paid to them, not to us. We do not ship to APO/AE addresses as of August 1, 2004 due to increased security concerns.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Please email us for a shipping quote PRIOR to committing to the purchase of any shop item if you are in doubt as to the total cost. Postal rates vary widely from country to country and items not able to be shipped by flat rate envelope will need to be shipped according to USPS weight tables. We ONLY accept payments sent through PayPal for purchase orders originating outside of the U.S, including Canada--no customer mailed payments of any kind. Please respect that policy and do not indicate 'Money Order' or 'Cash' as your payment choice. Non-U.S. shoppers must be Verified by PayPal before we can ship to you in your home country. Customers in the United Kingdom and Canada should also have a Confirmed address. Becoming Verified is simple, and protects you against identity theft. PayPal is a very easy, quick and safe service to use, Verisign-secure, and all types of credit cards are accepted. We appreciate your business and welcome your inquiries. We want our transaction with you to be a smooth and successful one. All packages are shipped via Priority International or Priority International Express to overseas locales (exceptions included Italy). Insurance is required on all breakable items to any country where it is available. Some items may not be available for International sales and are indicated as such in the listing. Customs forms will be filled out ACCURATELY and completely, and all packages will have a printed invoice with contents and prices inside. Do be aware of possible Duty charges levied in your country such as VAT when selecting merchandise you wish to purchase. We cannot estimate those charges for you in advance and will not falsify the contents as a 'Gift' or state a cheaper cost. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL US complaining about the costs you have been charged once Duty is levied! If you do not accept delivery of your package and it is returned to us as Abandoned after 30 days, no refund will be issued as we will have to pay the charges of return shipping for the items you did not accept.
Restocking Fee:
We do charge a 15% restocking fee on all returned items, unless an Exchange of merchandise for another item is arranged with the shop. Full dollar shop credit can be issued in that event. Please read measurements and descriptions CAREFULLY as well as scrutinizing pictures before placing your Purchase Order so you will not be disappointed. If you have any additional questions about an item prior to placing your order, please email or call us. Our shop hours are posted on our Home Page and we are available by email 24/7. We want to be of help and we want you to be happy. In the rare instance that clothing is returned to our shop in need of dry cleaning (for instance, due to being permeated with the smell of cigarette smoke or being covered in pet hair), an additional $8.00 Special Fee per item will be withheld from the refunded amount to pay for the required dry cleaning services before the item can be returned to stock. All of our garments are clean and odorless when shipped, stored in an air conditioned pet-free and smoke-free warehouse environment in enclosed wardrobes and cabinetry. Hand washables or extremely delicate garments may or may not have been cleaned and listings will contain pertinent information regarding possible soil or stains. Sterling Silver jewelry and vanity items are sold as found and patina is not cleaned.
Other Information:
All of our items are "new" old department store stock, or gently used high-quality estate items. Every item will be described honestly and accurately, to the best of our ability. We won't ever sell you anything we wouldn't collect or wear ourselves! In the event of the rare unintentional error or omission in the advertisement of any store item, we reserve the right to cancel a Purchase Order to make the necessary correction to the item's description. **PLEASE SEE OUR VINTAGE RATING GUIDE ON THIS PAGE to understand how we classify our merchandise's condition.** We check every item carefully, scrutinizing the details as you would do if you were here with us. In the event we have missed something that is important to you, please email and we will 'fill in the blanks' for you! :-)
