Chic Mad Men-style 1960s vintage Pat Sadler 3-piece wiggle cocktail sleeveless sheath dress that can be worn with short sequined overblouse and waist length jacket. Several characters on Mad Men have worn nearly identical suits on Mad Men in this third season, and it is set in 1963. All parts of the ensemble are gorgeous when worn alone and are SPECTACULAR when worn all together. The sheath has a darted ivory rayon acetate satin empire look bodice blends into a wide fitted black fabric waistband and narrow pencil skirt. Long back center metal zipper. The slightly above the waist sleeveless overblouse is also ivory, completely lined and covered with iridescent white and metallic gold sequins. It also closes with a center metal zipper up the back and hook and eye at the bottom. The jacket is incredible, cropped and boxy and closes with three huge soutache covered round fabric buttons, and has the most gorgeous silky black dyed Mink Peter Pan collar! There are no shoulder seams, with curved, side seaming on the back and princess seaming on the front. The sleeves are slightly kimono in shape and the jacket is completely lined in black silk. The overblouse and the dress have the embroidered Pat Sadler tags (in the neckline on the overblouse and the skirt on the dress) and the jacket has the original embroidered 'Muslers~Schenectady' department store label stitched in. A vintage Size 10, fitting maximum body measurements: DRESS~Bust 32", Shoulder 15 1/2" Waist 24", and Hip 34": Dress Length 36". OVERBLOUSE~Bust 32 1/2", Shoulder 15" (cut in at armholes), and Hem Bottom 32 1/2"; Length 16" (shoulder seam to hem edge); JACKET~Bust 34", Hip 34", Sleeve Length 16". Jacket Length 19" (under collar back seam to hem edge). The condition is in Excellent condition. Details: The ivory dress bodice has slightly darkened around the edges of the neckline and armholes, but as the fabric is already ivory it is not really an issue, in my opinion. The Pat Sadler label has minor yellowing at the edges. The overblouse has a few little threads, but none of the sequins appear to be missing. The jacket looks 'as new' and may have been worn less often than the other two pieces. No shedding or dryness to the collar, and the lining is immaculate.
