Amazing shimmering eye-popplng vintage Lillie Rubin sapphire blue silk illusion plunging back wiggle cocktail dress with extraordinary contrasting metallic PURPLE 6" long beaded fringe hem, neckline and cap sleeve embellishments! This 1980s BEAUTY has all the 'bells and whistles', including the sheer bodice illusion creating a visual front 'plunge' matched by a 16" deep plunging back opening. It is heavily hand sequined and beaded over the entire surface with pearl style and glass tube beads, combined with hundreds of sapphire blue sequins. The long teardrop bead-tipped fringe strands are stunning and simply 'make' this dress. The dress is definitely weighty as is true with all quality beaded garments, but not uncomfortably so. It is completely lined in matching acetate satin. The back of the wiggle skirt has a smoothly gliding center zipper below the plunging back, and the fringed beaded collar at the back neckline closes with hook and eye closures. The dress is a vintage Size 10, fitting body measurements (taken flat): Bust 33 1/2", Shoulder 16", Waist 25", Hip 35", Dress Length 38". The dress has been cleaned and is in Excellent condition, with no deficits or wear. All sequins and beads appear to be in place and there are no visible snags to the sheer illusion.
