Hard to find New York Pattern Co. #859 dress pattern, with fabulous hem & sleeve treatment. New York Pattern Co operated for a very brief period (1932 - early 1950's). The art work is wonderful and most if not all NYP Co. patterns are unprinted. The dress has button closing skirt, short sleeve Kimono waist with standing collar. Fantastic scalloped cuffs on short sleeves. Gathered skirt with applied scalloped bands at lower edges. Removable belt. Width at lower edge of skirt is 75". A vintage Size 11, fitting maximum body measurements: Bust 29", Hip 32". Pattern requires a 12" dress placket zipper for side opening. The pattern is in factory folded Mint condition, Complete with its original directions. Slim envelope has yellowing, short side seam splits and corner wrinkling, tearing.
