Rare and hard to find 1942 WWII First Edition (stated) sewing book, 'Make and Mend For Victory', published by The Spool Cotton Co. and the government's Office of Price Administration. Repurposing and extending the life of the family's garments was seen as part of the War effort and became a very important task for the homemaker. The book's foreward spelled it out in clear terms in the Consumer's Victory Pledge.
