Patriotic 1960s set of four vintage red and blue heavily gilded 'Spirit of '76' glasses, with our wonderful Founding Father's profile. These Americana glasses are adorned with the original Stars and Stripes flag, a beautifully detailed golden profile of George Washington inside a victorious Olive Wreath, and crossed sabers with '1776' around the top of the glass on the blue enamel field. The center has a gilded band of stars, the rest of the glass with gold bands on a red field, creating the effect of a colonial Drum. The glasses are in Near Mint condition, measuring 5 1/2" tall and holding about 12 oz. There is no gold or enamel loss, no chips, cracks or flakes. This gorgeous vintage glassware has been used no more than once or twice, if at all, and have obviously never seen the inside of a dishwasher.
