Beautiful red Silk fabric robed Santa Claus embossed Postcard, the smiling full bearded Santa with blue pants, brown gloves, fur front boots, and an unusual woven straw basket pack on his back filled with toys, A pretty blond Dolly, a Hobby Horse, Sword and Drum peak out of the top. Santa rings a pair of gleaming green bells with a long blue satin ribbon in front of a large candle-lit pine tree and vines of Holly and Berries. It is snowing and a village sits behind Santa, down the hill. The card is entitled 'Merry Christmas' printed in gilt lettered script at the upper left corner. The card has an address and initials P.E.H. on the verso, mailed in December 1907 (date uncertain). Stamp is in place. No manufacturer mark; 'Made in Germany' vertically on left card edge. The postcard is in Excellent condition, with minor discoloration to the paper back. Shipped in a rigid sleeve and mailer for a safe journey.
