Fine Souvenir Mailing Card produced by the H-O Co. of Buffalo, New York. This is one of two Advertising Postcards for Korn-Kinks Malted Flakes. with undivided back. Text in verso lower left corner reads:."Cut out from 2 packages of Korn-Kinks the man and boy picture , mail in with 4c. postage and receive 6 extra funny darkey postcards (in 5 colors) which regularly sell for 15c." The cards portray The Jocular Jinks of Kornelia Kinks, depicting Kornelia on stilts with the cereal box under her arm, attempting to pull her little sister's kite up into the air. From the door a voice yells "You smash dem Kink's I'll spoil you face chile". This card is a rare variation Souvenir Card back postcard, according to JL Mashburn in his authoritative book 'The Postcard Price Guide' on page 456. The building with 'Korn-Kinks' on the roof does NOT have '5 cents' written on the wall on this card as is the usual form, increasing its value. The card is in Excellent+ condition, with slight corner bumping to the tips and slight ink stain along top verso edge. Addressed to Wm. Ott. W. Clark, Albert Lea, Minn. Never posted; no cancellation. Shipped in a rigid sleeve and waterproof mailer for a safe journey.
