Hard to find and highly collectible 1978 HALLMARK Bob Schneeberg carved wood Collage Christmas bell ornament, Mint in the original Box. A remarkable 82 decorating steps were required to achieve the natural wood look of this highly sought-after ornament. The ornament was only removed from the box to photograph, obtained from the estate of a Hallmark ornament collector. It is perfect, with no indication it has ever hung from a Holiday tree~and it deserves to! The 4" ornament has the caption, "Christmas 1978" carved into the front. It would be the centerpiece of any 1970s Hallmark ornament collection. Slight bend to one side of the box bottom, with no wear. The Bell is Listed and pictured in the collectibles guide, 'Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments Value Guide-Second Edition' published in July, 2006. Authored by Nicki Pierce, the guide has photographs and current pricing of all 6,000 Keepsake Ornaments that have been produced since 1973.
