Vintage signed 'Hecho En Mexico' Eagle 3 delicate Abalone ring, created during the Golden Age of Taxco artistry. Most of the greatest Mexican jewelry designers worked in Taxco during the late 1940s-1950s eras, the time period of the Eagle 3 mark~artists such as Bernice Goodspeed, Emma, Hector Aquilar, the Castillo brothers and many more distinguished names~according to Bille Hougart in the authoritative book, The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks. The ring appears to be signed 'ESB' inside the Hecho mark (slightly indistinct), and if not truncated by the small size of the ring face, most likely would have had the artist's name in the top part of the circle. The ring face measures a petite 5/8" long in a marquise shape, a perfectly selected Mother of Pearl cabochon with gorgeous color and design set in the .925 silver. The ring is a Size 6 and is in Excellent condition, with only normal light age patina; can be worn as is or polished.
