Gorgeous 1960s vintage prestige I. MILLER high heeled pumps, with stunning 'basket woven' gold and silver leather vamps that are ready to DAZZLE! Israel Miller started his career as a designer and maker of shoes for the theatrical profession in New York. He established the I. Miller Shoe Company, which not only designed and manufactured the finest quality women’s shoes, but became a leading importer of shoes (from the Royal Crown Colony of Hong Kong) with a national chain of over 200 retail stores, which were active throughout the 1920s-1960s. In the late 1950s, Andy Warhol became the chief illustrator for I. Miller's national advertising. The company ceased production in the late 1960s. These vintage beauties were part of the I. Miller 'Miller Eye' line of the mid-1960s, and are in outstanding condition. The soles are shiny, with only the slightest marking indicating that the shoes were only worn once, and apparently on carpet. The heel caps are in perfect shape, and the interior of the shoes have no wear to the printed text and are immaculate (with the exception of a tag remnant on the heel portion of the right shoe's inner liner and a couple of little scratches). The last foot bed is nicely padded, making these 3 1/4" heels very comfortable to wear. The shoes even still have their 'new' leather smell, stored in a box over their long life. The exterior leather is pristine and unblemished. Marked a Size 7 1/2, the measurements are: 9 1/2", interior foot bed, and 3 3/4" across the widest part of the football. Appropriate for day or evening, these shoes are in Excellent condition.
