Stunning 1950's Silk 'Royal Hawaiian-Made in Hawaii' empire ankle length dress, the fabric printed with spectacular salmon and peach Hibiscus flowers, graceful Palms and tropical foliage! The dress has V-neck, short graceful Butterfly sleeves, and fitted bodice. Slim skirt, to the ankle, and long back zipper. The Silk fabric is shimmery and semi-sheer when held in front of strong light, the perfect weight for Summer's sultry nights. Royal Hawaiian clothing was considered to be some of the finest ever made in Hawaii, pre-statehood, and although the partially detached, faded label indicates that the dress has been cleaned or hand washed several times, there is no wear, holes, pulls or other damages. It appears just as fresh and bright as the day it was created, obviously cherished. The measurements are: Bust 34", Hip 40", Dress Length 53". Please Note: The dress is a bit large for the mannequin and has not been pinned; would fit beautifully on the right size body.
